G’day!

The Hey Blondie YouTube channel was created in response to the numerous video game analysis channels which brush over the finer details of why video games are great, and why they sometimes fail. I’m a firm believer that details, in aggregate, define whether games are successful or miss their mark.

The Aussie larrikin that is Hey Blondie strives to define the indefinable, to articulate that feeling we often get when games are good or bad but that we can’t detail why. I draw on my decade+ experience of writing amateur fiction to create interesting videos with more than a dash of humour and storytelling. My videos ain’t a thesis, they’re a journey which you’re all invited along for.

A core component of my videos is you. Yes, YOU. Each video isn’t me shoving opinions and facts down your throat; it’s the opportunity for us to talk about the games we love (or sometimes despise…). Your feedback and opinions are valuable, and I always encourage you to express them. The prompts in each video are merely a reminder that your opinion is wanted and appreciated.

I’ve tried to structure Locals like Patreon, but Locals doesn’t have membership tiers so we’ll have to use theatre of the mind and get creative. In order to be fair to everyone who supports my work on all platforms, I grant specific perks on Locals based on how much is pledged. It isn’t quite the same as the Patreon membership tiers and the price is a touch higher, but Locals has its own unique benefits to compensate.

Tier 1 - A Fistful of Dollars ($4 USD/month)

• A unique role in my Discord server
• Patron updates
• Early video access in Locals, ad-free
• Name in the credits at the end of each video
• A copy of the video scripts

Tier 2 - For A Few Dollars More ($7 USD/month)

• All benefits from Tier 1
• Name in the credits at the beginning of each video

Tier 3 - I’m Your Huckleberry ($10 USD/month)

• All benefits from Tier 1 and 2
• A verbal thank you at the beginning of each video
